Hello all!
Cheesy as it might be, I have decided to create a blog to share my experiences in China on my Fulbright grant with my friends and family. I hope to be updating this blog roughly every couple of weeks.
To start, I will be spending four months in Beijing attending the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies (IUP) at Tsinghua University. I will be living with my very good friend (Hannah Corn!) and a couple of new friends! In January I will be moving on to Shanghai to begin my ten month research period.
It is all starting to set in, I am really headed off into the unknown. Packing has never been my forte, and it’s been especially hard these last couple of weeks. I cannot help but wonder if at the root of all the procrastinating I have been doing is a fear of the future, but at the end of the day I cannot wait to go back to China and start this next chapter of my life. I am keeping this post brief, but have included a picture from my final days of my Junior Semester abroad in Beijing! Here is my best friend Andrea and our host mom. Can’t wait to see her again!
So excited for the unknown and also the known. This summer was made 10x better because of you NL! I know you are going to rock whatever it is you do!
